Peter with a BIG spade at the Malvern Show. |
Peter visited the Malvern Show in order to see some speakers for next year. He managed to book Leila Jackson, the Abutilon specialist, and also a Heuchera specialist. Leila took the silver for her display, she also featured on the Gardeners' World programme.
The May club meeting was a little different to usual, with Peter Webb speaking about "The Good Life", a humerus story. He was very entertaining, speaking about his transition from town to country life. He did bring along a lot of slides, but as it was nearing Jubilee weekend, the hall was decked out in Union Jacks, etc., which would have made it difficult to see the screen, so he just spoke a bit longer, which was fine.
