FINCHINGFIELD OUTING AND MATTHEWS NURSERY

THANK YOU HILDA FOR KEEPING US UPDATED ON THIS TRIP WITH YOUR PHOTOS
These 3 were taken at Matthew's Nursery last Saturday, it was a lovely day. These were the demonstration container & hanging basket he & his Mum did. They were snapped up by club members immediately they were finished.

These were of the very pretty village of Finchingfield (Obviously !).  We had a lovely carvery meal there. .

A not very good photo (it was taken through the coach window) of the glorious sunset on the way home from Finchingfield.  It was magnificent, this does not do it justice at all.

THANK HILDA FOR SHOWING THIS PHOTO

Do you remember my asking Peter a question at "Question Time" at the meeting before last?  Well, this is the fuchsia it was about. I said I had tried all different ways to propagate it, but couldn't get it to root.  Well, at last I have succeeded!   When I looked at it a few weeks later, there were the small white hairy roots visible through the transparent plastic of the pot. Now all I have to do is to see it through the winter. Keep your fingers crossed.  That foliage is superb, isn't it?
THE NAME OF THE FUCHSIA
IS
FIRECRACKER
Best wishes, Hilda.

A POST FROM HILDA GOOBY "THE IRONY"

I thought the club would like to share this photo. In spite of all the grief that Bizzie Lizzies have caused us this year, this cheeky thing has self seeded right underneath my neighbour's hanging basket. To add insult to injury, it has even sprouted in competition with the weeds there.  It will probably the last B.L. to be seen there for a few years now.

THANK YOU HILDA HOW SAD TO SEE THESE LOVELY FLOWERS GO

I was at my son's in Brighton on the day,so unfortunately, was unable to attend. However, it is lovely to be able to see the garden photos. I am especially envious of that lovely lawn! Well done, Kathy & Peter.
